Shipped quickly, well packaged and exactly as described. The US Postal Service is so bad that it is almost unusable.

I'll verify what you say. USPS, particularly stuff going through the Chicago hub is getting pretty bad. I wonder if this is some kind of "work to rule" thing going on?

Meade ETX 90 / 1250 mm 325X Land-View Maksutov-Cassegrain Spotting Scope
Nov 14, 2019
The Meade ETX90: Excellent optics in a very small package!
The ETX is a small, light 90mm aperture Maksutov telescope/spotting scope of good quality. It can easily handle magnifications up to 40-50x per inch of aperture and will show good detail on the Moon and even some planets. Terrestrially, it is powerful so a low-power eyepiece (32-35mm) for 39x is a must-have for first looks. The small finderscope works well as a pointer for the main instrument, but is close to the main tube so it takes getting used to. Because of the magnification this scope is capable of, a good stable tripod (not cheap) and ideally a pan-tilt video style head is a good idea. The scope is easily small and light enough for air travel. Remember to allow the scope 15-20 minutes to reach temperature equalibrium when going from a warm environment to a cold one, to allow for the best performance from it. The scope can be used as a long camera telephoto lens with adapters but at 1250mm focal length, good light in the daytime and a sturdy tripod is needed for best results.
Meade ETX-125 OTA Telescope with UHTC coatings

A great 5 inch Maksutov with refractor-like images
Pros: Very good image quality, refractor-like apochromatic image at a much lower price. Good on planets when seeing permits, and deepsky objects thanks to reasonable mirror size. Images are bright thanks to decent aperture and quality anti-reflection coatings. Able to focus on objects much closer than most scopes (owing to moving-mirror focus) so it's good for terrestrial (land) viewing. Cons: Won't use 2 inch eyepieces (which you might want give this scope's long focal ratio) in the standard eyepiece tube, requires buying accessories and 2 inch diagonal to mount on the back. Long focal ratio may frustrate beginners because the width of the field of view is narrow compared to a wide-field telescope.
Bresser Refractor Messier AR-102xs/460 Telescope with Hexafoc Focuser - White

Bresser Messier AR-102xs Rich-field Refractor telescope
Used within the parameters of it's capability, it is a decent little rich-field refractor. However, you will be limited to powers in the 10x to 100-120x range because of chromatic aberration (color error) where you see bluish edges where bright/dark objects meet. This can hinder seeing some details on planets, but you can if you want by a "fringe killing" filter to fit on the telescope eyepieces that will mitigate some of this issue. The scope is reasonably light and can be bolted to a typical medium sized camera tripod, or, used on a telescope mount with a vixen-style dovetail. The focuser is interesting. It has a hexagonal tube and it is a "rack and pinion" which is unusual for today. As you focus, you can feel faint detents like some camera lens aperture rings. All in all, construction of the scope is very good. However, because of the photographic "speed" (f/4.5) of this lens, highly-corrected telescope eyepieces like TeleVue Naglers perform much better than less-well corrected eyepieces like Plossls. The Moon, Jupiter and Saturn all looked good, I saw three of Saturn's moons and good detail. The scope is a great richfield scope and starfields are well-seen.
