A beautiful guitar but a different color than what is shown
Schecter makes great quality guitars and this one is no exception. However the color you see in the picture is not the color guitar you get. It is listed as a (discontinued) purple blue quilt but it is actually trans purple burst. If you go to Schecters website you can see the actual color of the guitar you will get which is still gorgeous, but is more purple than blue. The abalone Gothic crosses on the fingerboard and the abalone binding are to die for. The Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo is lots of fun when setup properly. However you give up sustain with the Floyd Rose which is just the nature of the tremolo system. The EMG pickups sound good. Different from the 81 & 85 pickups though. They are advertised by EMG as being the same as the 81 & 85 series but they sound different. These have a coil splitting feature which makes them sound kind of like single coils when you pull up on the knobs. You will experience a drop in volume when you engage this feature. If you are a fan of really low action you may not like this guitar as you get buzzing if you lower it to where a Les Paul or Strat would be. I believe this is the nature of Floyd Rose tremolos and 24 fret guitars. I subtracted 2 stars because it was advertised as a different color than it actually is which was disappointing because I ordered a blue guitar, not a purple one.
