Voice acting is bad... Blu looks nice.
The Blu-ray looks great, no problems with picture quality, great nature scenes, good depth and feel. As for the movie: Cons: I used to read these books when I was a kid, absolutely loved the books. My expectations were high for the movie because the costumes looked good. When I heard the monsters speak, I was in shock... and they never really worked on me, I could not get used to them. Pros: I did enjoy parts of the movie when the kid is running around, just being a kid letting his monster out... that was good fun. Overall, terrible voice acting ruined the movie. Blu-ray quality is nice though.

A new standard for Alice.
The new AiW is beautifully dark with gorgeous colors. Not a typical Tim Burton movie (i.e. Corpse Bride, Nightmare...) but full of wonder and laughter. Saw it in 3D when it came to theaters and was very impressed (first 3D movie I've been impressed with) and wasn't sure how the Blu-ray copy would hold up to that experience. The Blu-ray met my expectations and captivated me almost as much as the 3D. Great movie even for people who are not fans of Tim Burton, or children's movies.

Blade looks sharp!
Can't find this locally, but the Canadian version plays on all US players. Looks great in Blu-Ray! The only downside is the computer generated special effects are more noticeable. Sound quality is also good.
