D90 is a fantastic camera.
I am a big Nikon fan. I have upgraded gradually from D40, D60, D80, D90, D300 & D300s. I have used D300s for over a year and half. Few weeks ago I have downgraded my gear from D300s to D90. As an amateur user for the last 4 years as a hobby, I realized that investing money on camera lenses are way better than investing on expensive camera bodies for better quality pictures. That's why I came back to D90 from D300s. The picture quality of D90, D300 & D300s are the same. I don't do videos with DSLR camera like some folks do.
Long story short, D90 is a great camera. If you love to take great pictures, buy D90 & invest on lenses. You will Thank me one day.

Very Nice for your budget
It works fine on auto and manual camera settings on my Nikon D90. For filll flash set the aperture setting on the flash one stop faster than the camera and then adjust the flash ISO setting to fine tune the fill flash.
Example: Camera set at ISO 100, f11 and 1/250, Set flash to f8, ISO 160 to obtain fill flash of -1 2/3 stops. As long as you aren't dealing with quickly changing light it isn't a big deal.

Fantastic lens. Tacy sharp picture.
This is my first 50mm 1.4G lens that I won. I read a lot of reviews about this lens before I purchased it. I took the lens out few times. The pictures turned out to be amazing. The bokeh, sharpness is fantastic.
