Coolpix 3700 is a very small efficient package.
The Nikon Coolpix 3700 camera's very small size means it can always be with you in a pocket or on your wrist. No more missed shots. However, if you have large hands you won't like the 3700. It is a tiny camera. This 3.2 Mega pix camera was introduced in Dec. of 2003, and unlike the newer compact cameras, the 3700 has a viewfinder. A viewfinder makes it easier to follow action or compose your flash picture in poor light. In bright sun it is often easier to use the fiewfinder for acurate composition. There is no noticable shutter lag as found in most older digital cameras. The pictures are vivid in color and very sharp. There is a special setting just for close-ups and when used, the detail in a close-up photo is astonishing. The camera was truly state of the art when introduced and feature for feature it still rivals the newer releases. I enjoy using the "Keep the best shot feature" when shooting without flash in poor light such as in a museum or for night scenes. The second and third images are almost alway sharper than the first one since you just push the button for the first picture and 2nd and 3rd.pictures rapidly follow as you concentrate on holding the camera very still. It is the act of pushing the release button which causes most of the unsharp images in natural light photos. The rest of my family cares little for the tricks this camera can do and just use the 3700 as a point and shoot camera. Their pictures are uniformly excellent. Since several generations of very small cameras have come out since the 3700 was introduced, it can be found on eBay at a bargain price. My original Coolpix 3700 was stolen recently so I began researching newer compact cameras. I could not find any cameras in its size range which would do more for me then the 3700 so I bought a mint used Coolpix 3700 on eBay at less than half the price I paid for my first one. It is perfect in every way.

Pyle PLTTB3U Belt Drive USB Turntable with Digital Recording Software

Good full featured starter turntable
This is a good value for a First Turntable. It has a surprising number of features you would only expect to find in a unit costing two or three time as much. However the mechanisms that control these features are not well made. You can balance the tone arm but the mechanism is a bit sloppy. The best 3 features on the turntable are the strobe window to fine-tune the rpm, the lift lever that lifts and sets down the tone arm. and the well fitted hinged plastic cover. The weakest part of this turntable is the inexpensive stock needle. But even with this crummy needle the sound quality is quite good. The instructions for operating the turntable do not give nearly enough information. I found the software that came with the unit to be worthless on my Mac running OS X 10.9.5. After repeated attempts to follow the instructions, downloading the newest versions, and trying to install the same, I just gave up and listened to my records using the QuickTime recording feature common to all Macs.
