About us

Welcome to The Art of the Ex Libris--a source of amazing ex libris from all over the world. We have an inventory of over 36,000 ex libris, principally collected by the late German ex libris collector Dr. Peter Laubhn. Dr. Laubhn both collected and commissioned ex libris from 1982 until his untimely death in 2020. Dr. Laubhn collected ex libris from all over the world, with a focus on German artists, many of whom became his personal friends.

We are also personally a collector of signed books, autographs and manuscripts, having first started collecting in 1963. We will periodically offer items from our personal collection, but our focus is principally the ex libris collection of Dr. Laubhn.

The ex libris collection is maintained in Galway, Ireland, and will ship from Galway.
