Back from Retirement, it didn't last long. I had a heart attack last summer and thought I was through with my store, but missed it too much, so I'm back. Prior to selling vintage fashion I was a costume jewelry designer with a wonderful career designing the runway jewelry for all the Seventh Avenue fashion houses including, Oscar de la Renta, Bill Blass, Geoffrey Beene, Marc Jacobs and Adolfo. My jewelry was shown on the runway and then sold at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman. I was invited to join the CFDA , Council of Fashion Designers of America, in 1983, and remained a CFDA member for thirty years. After moving to San Francisco for love twenty years ago, I switched careers and started selling exotic fashions online. One of my first customers was the Met Museum Costume Institute (Gaultier), and I was off and running.
