After I purchased it, the shipping indicated it was coming from mainland China. It took 13 days to arrive. It is clearly a counterfeit item. There is no serial number. The manual has no information saying that it’s from Makita. The tools and guides are made of thinly stamped Steel and there are no other Makita markings as with their other tools. I called Makita. They said it’s not their tool.
