About us

Record Mart HiFi operates out of our building in Glen Rock, NJ. We are not a retail store, but we sometimes do see customers by appointment before or after a piece of gear is purchased.

Our shop is an offshoot of our former music store in New York City, Record Mart. Opened in 1958, Record Mart held the title of the oldest running record store in the City for many years, before closing in 2020. The store was known for its extensive collection of Latin Music but carried all genres.

Having always had a passion for “Two Channel” HiFi Audio, starting Record Mart HiFi came after years of personally accumulating higher end analog audio equipment. All of the items that we sell are cleaned, serviced if needed, tested on our bench, and then put through a final run in one of our stereo setups for a final evaluation.
