My mum bought me one just like this one but in cream that was when I was 8 yrs old and had just been taught to knit at school 70 yrs ago. As we were learning my mum then bought me my own set of knitting needles, which was a big thing in 1955. Over the years and about 14 moves or more later it had gone missing so it was lovely to see this one for sale.
