  The leather patch arrived quickly, well packed. Used it on my old office chair, where the front 1/3rd had started to split along the front edge. I used some duct tape to first hold the edge pieces next to each other, then gently tore the paper backing open down the center, then laid it down. Rubbed the center area to hold, then pulled the paper backing off as I worked one half. At the edge, snipped to create a smoother bend. Adhesive around the front curve isn't strong enough, so contact cement.
