ATTENTION WORLD: February 2005, The Good Lord Jesus put my son and I in the right place at the right time. Got laid off in January, he, Purdue winter break. Traveled 29 miles to Sunshine Salvage Plymouth IN. Outdoor salvage, equipment auction. Eyes set on 1 of the 4 semi-truck loads of ONAN GENERATOR NOS parts in South Bend Tribune ad. In the 1st attempt to auction off this gold mine, the Hahn Auctioneer announced, "ALL 4 TRUCKLOADS would sell for 1-money!" Hahn sang out his rhythmic call for several minutes, NO ONE made the minimum bid of $4000. NO TAKERS! 1/2 hour later I approached Mr. Hahn, offered $3000 to start the bid. With hearts pounding out of our chests, AGAIN FOR ALL 4 trailers in this crowd of 200 industrial surplus buyers. NO ONE else raised their hand???? It was truly a miracle from God himself. +$300 buyer's %+$231+sales tax, $3531 delivered price to Osceola, IN no trailers included $2.5MM+ sales to date, more to story? CLICK
