A little history; Randy Markham and Russ Keller started making Kelmark tubular mid-engined kits in 1969. (Keller & Markham became Kelmark). In 1975 they progressed to designing the popular Kelmark GT body which was built to fit the VW pan as well as the V8 tubular chassis they were building. Hundreds of these kits were sold. In 1977, after Keller had moved on from the company, Markham partnered with an Oldsmobile engineer by the name of Bill Porterfield and they formed Mid-Engineering, a company that focused on V8 chassis kits and factory built cars such as the 203 mph King Kong Kelmark tested by Car & Driver with the honor of being the fastest production car at the time. After a very successful run, Kelmark and Mid-Engineering ceased production in 1985. The Markham family currently owns all rights to both companies, their marketing, photo and logo copyrights, original fiberglass body molds and all inventory. In that inventory are some excess pieces which we are offering for sale here.
