I am a mom of both (a boy and girl) who is passionate about thrifting and sustainability. With the goal of becoming debt-free, I have turned my hobby into a side hustle. Every week, I visit local thrift stores and garage sales, searching for hidden gems—shoes, clothing, and other items I can resell, passing the items along in their journey. To manage my time, I involve my kids in the process. They help me organize items, take photos, and even pack up sales. This not only teaches them valuable skills about money and entrepreneurship but also strengthens our bond as a family. We have found joy in making it a fun activity rather than just a chore. As sales begin to grow, I keep records of profits, reinvesting some of it into buying more inventory while setting aside a portion to pay down our family’s debt.
