A brief outdoor field test included shooting directly into the Sun, so: minimum aperture, max DOF. As stated, small dusts are present. Insignificant. Macro v fast, focus perfect. Super value ++++++

The camera and main lens appear to be in pristine condition and in due course I will check the telephoto which was also part of this Nikon D5300 kit. Only slight inconvenience was the US pinned charger but that was easily remedied by an adapter I already had. Also the manual was in Japanese...but I downloaded the English language version from the Nikon site. So far all very good.
