    As much I would prefer it being an original, I was pleasantly surprised by the workmanship on it. The spring tension was very strong compared to the original from WW2. The tension was not strong enough to hold the band in place. Therefore, each time the rifle fired, it would move. When I put this one on, I heard a loud audible *click* and it was perfectly locked in and no movement. I will take it to the range and verify but so far so good. Pleasantly surprised .
