Owner must stick the battery boxes inside the top of each Winsock (directly on the fabric) using flimsy 2-sided stickers (5/ea.) applied to each batt. box. Hoping they will hold in the heat/rain and constant motion, but who knows. Also the LED battery packs are definitely NOT waterproof, imo. The Windsocks do look nice, but hoping they won't fade.
