The spindle is metric and made for a thin belt GMC product which is not a problem unless you are retro-fitting a generator to alternator conversion on an old Ford. These old Ford's use a 5/8" belt so you have to change the pulley. So you need to find a 5/8" pulley with fan that will fit the metric shaft. Hard to do. An alternator shop told me this alternator was 'burned' and not worth repairing. I don't know if that was true or not, probably not.
