Miriam Miller and Richard J. Miller traveled the world in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950's, and accumulated an astounding historical collection. Stamps, coins, art, postcards, newspapers, memorabilia, paper ephemera, correspondences with important historical persons, and items from World War II and the American Occupation and reconstruction of Japan. Along with their family, they collected items going back as far as 1730, and now their grand-daughter Barbara, and her curator Matthew Wright, are bringing this collection to you. Their travels took them to Pakistan, India, Japan, Thailand, Burma, the USSR, Indonesia, Hawaii and all over the U.S. and they kept detailed notes. The items they collected represent their travels, and include brochures, travel guides, local menus and postcards. They took thousands of photographs, some of which are historically important. Only now has this collection been opened up and is still in the process of curation.
Thanks for your interest! - Barbara Miller
