About us

We love tech. I have been interested in technology since I got my ham radio license in 1990. After a 20 year career as an audio engineer I still love equipment, particularly vintage oscilloscopes. I enjoy the interesting people that buy our wares. I love opening old gear and seeing the hand soldered work and solid designs meant to last. With my wife Marisa, who builds airplane parts by day, we lovingly restore, repair, and test gear.

Who is Mike Doster? Good Question. In 1998 when I created my account on this new website Ebay to bid on a Sennheiser MD 421 microphone , I was stuck for a username. A friend from high school used to joke that he was going to do terrible things using my name. I found it mildly funny to use his name as a username. 25 years later I am still using his name.
