Resolving buying problems
Find out what to look for before you bid or buy, and how to avoid common mistakes.
Solve a problem
Go to the seller's profile page by clicking on their username, either from the listing page or from your Purchase history page in My eBay, then click the Contact link.
It may be just a simple misunderstanding. Email your trading partner. If that doesn’t work, request their contact information and try to call them. You can also use these tips to try to work things out.
If you haven’t placed a bid yet, use the Ask a question link in the listing. If you’ve already won or bought the item, email or call the seller and ask if a different payment method can be worked out.
When you buy an item, it's important to pay as quickly as possible. If you haven't paid within 4 calendar days, the seller can cancel your order. If this happens, you won't receive your item and the unpaid item will be recorded on your account. Buyers who have excessive unpaid items or cancelled orders may have limits imposed or lose their buying privileges. Learn more in our unpaid item policy.
