Originally released in 1972, the album was released not long before he made his big break with Shotgun Willie. Nelson wrote or co-wrote everything here. The album is most notable for containing Nelson's first solo recording of "Good Hearted Woman", a song that he had composed with his great friend Waylon Jennings.
