SynopsisFrom training and showing to teaching and judging, Richard Shrake is one of the outstanding professionals in the horse show world. His lifelong career with horses began with riding colts for his dad on the family ranch in Oregon. He soon began showing horses, and continued breaking, training, and showing during his college years. Following graduation, he began giving clinics on the West Coast, became a full-time trainer, and built his own training stable, Horsemanship West, in Oregon City. During the following years, both Richard and his students competed with phenomenal success at all the major shows on the West Coast, including the Grand National Horse Show at San Francisco's Cow Palace, plus the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Ohio, the Florida Gold Coast Quarter Horse Circuit, the AJQHA Finals in Tulsa, and the World Championship Quarter Horse Show in Oklahoma City. Today, Richard is concentrating primarily on judging and giving clinics all over the nation. He and his wife, Lee Ann, live with their family in Sunriver, Oregon. Book jacket.
