Carter, the Chuck Wagon Gang is now led by Carter's great-granddaughter Shaye Truax, who continues to sing the same songs the way they were passed down to her. Accompanied by soprano Melissa Kemper, guitarist and bass singer Dave Emery, and tenor Ronnie Page, the harmony quartet performs beautiful renditions of old-fashioned Gospel music. The Gang's history is palpable in the nostalgic, pure, country-tinged music, including their version of Alfred E. Brumley's "I'll Fly Away," which was first recorded by the Gang years ago, and went on to become one of the most recorded songs in history.
