Sequel to Alfa System's vertical shooter, released on multiple platforms. Shikigami no Shiro II (which translates to "The Castle of Shikigami II") was developed for the more powerful NAOMI arcade hardware and introduces two new characters to the series' curious modern-fantasy setting. The game, which plays like a traditional shooter in the style of Ikaruga, enables gamers to control flying humans instead of ships. Featuring advanced particle systems, large-scale bosses, and tons of action on screen, the game marries the traditional 2D gameplay of classic shooters like R-Type with turning and twisting 3D polygonal backgrounds found in more modern shooter offerings.
