The popular Super NES fishing series swims onto Nintendo DS with touch-screen support for reeling in catches, casting the rod, and guiding different lures. The heart of the game involves competing against rival fishermen in multiple tournaments with the ultimate goal of becoming the national bass champion. The top screen depicts each lake's surface conditions as well as a cross section view of the targeted fish, while the bottom screen lets players choose different spots on the lake and switches to a top-down fisherman view once the line has been cast. Players will be able to acquire up to 24 lures and catch more than 500 types of fish, ranging from spotted bass and muskie to pike and largemouth bass. The fishing competition can also be enjoyed with up to three other friends via wireless connection.
