STRAYS is a live-action comedy directed by Josh Greenbaum (Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar), written by Dan Perrault (American Vandal) and follows the story of an abandoned dog who teams up with other strays to get revenge on his former owner. Stray's stars Will Ferrell (The Shrink Next Door, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga), Oscar winner Jamie Foxx (Soul, Spider-Man: No Way Home) and Will Forte (MacGruber, The Last Man on Earth). The film is produced by Picturestart founder and CEO Erik Feig (Cha Cha Real Smooth), by Louis Leterrier (Lupin, Now You See Me), by Dan Perrault (American Vandal) and by Lord Miller partners Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, 21 Jump Street) and Lord Miller President of Film Aditya Sood (The Martian). Jessica Switch (Unpregnant) will executive produce and Julia Hammer (upcoming Luckiest Girl Alive) will co-produce for Picturestart. Nikki Baida will executive produce for Lord Miller. Universal picked up Strays from Picturestart and Lord Miller in a preemptive situation earlier this year.
