Notes2012 two CD collection, the first ever round up of all the singles, A's and B's, that the legend that is Ian Hunter issued for CBS and Chrysalis. Originally known as the voice and face of Mott the Hoople, Hunter split in 1975 and started a solo career that is fast approaching it's 40th year. From 1975's 'Once Bitten Twice Shy'(a UK #14 hit) right through until late 83's 'Somethin's Goin' On', this 29 track release has all of Ian's 45's including many versions that were specially edited from LP length. The sadly missed Mick Ronson plays on a good few of the tracks and other contributions come from the likes of Queen, members of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band including Clarence Clemons, John Cale of Velvet Underground and the Clash's Mick Jones the song 'Ships' later gave (of all people) Barry Manilow a USA Top 10 hit whilst 'Once Bitten Twice Shy' was taken into the American Top 5 by Great White. 7Ts.
