Product Information

“Rookie of the Year” was released in 1993 and came out on VHS the following year. The film is a remake of the 1954 film, 'Roogie's Bump,' and it tells the story of 12-year-old Henry Rowengartner, who makes it to the Major Leagues after an accident causes his tendons to heal unusually tight. Under the guidance of Chet "Rocket" Steadman, Henry plays for the Chicago Cubs, only to find that this life isn't perhaps what he'd thought it would be. With its feel-good story and its focus on rooting for the underdog, this movie will satisfy the entire family, baseball fans or not.
