Chef Dave Purcell (William Hurt) is at the end of his rope--his marriage has just ended and his restaurant is failing miserably. Luckily for Dave, his wacky, scheming neighbor and friend, Alphonse (Andy Jones), has cooked up a scheme to drum up business for his eatery. After the two men fake the sighting of a rare bird near the restaurant, hungry birdwatchers are soon lining up in droves!
