The Pyramid PW1048USX subwoofer is constructed of paper, and its strong paper cone keeps the unit lightweight. Rubber suspension adds to the durability of this 10.2-inch car subwoofer. A magnet weight of 60 oz, along with a stamped steel basket and bumped and vented motor structure, add to the physical features of this Pyramid subwoofer. The venting aids in keeping the internal operating temperature of the subwoofer at a minimum, allowing proper functionality. Also integrated into this 10.2-inch car subwoofer is a 2-inch high temperature Kapton voice coil. This Pyramid subwoofer exceeds the industry standards as far as impedance is concerned with its 8 ohms rather than the standard 4 ohms. The RMS handling capacity on this Pyramid PW1048USX subwoofer is 250 watts, and the maximum peak power-handling capacity is 500 watts. Additionally, this Pyramid subwoofer offers a sensitivity of 85.6 dB. This subwoofer is built with strong and durable materials, maintains high-quality bass tones, and produces little or no distortion.
