Elegantly designed in the classic French-press look, this Primula coffeemaker features a domed lid and footed frame in metal with a chrome-like finish, definitely adding class to after-dinner java. The large black handle, made of a heat-resistant synthetic material, enables pouring without burning knuckles on the hot glass. Unlike some presses that use polycarbonate containers, this one (model PCP-6408) has a heavy glass insert that can be removed for easy cleaning, either in a dishwasher or preferably by hand. A three-cup version of the press is also available; both make excellent gifts for the coffee lover. Many coffee aficionados believe the French-press plunger method of brewing is the best way to bring out the richest flavor of the beans.
