NotesOlyam, also known under the name Olivier BRIGAND, is always searching for new musical sensations. He's used to merge his synthesizers with human voices and acoustic instruments: guitar, bass, percussions... Sometimes close to Mike OLDFIELD or VANGELIS, the composer and musician thinks that traditional and ethnic music are very important, and has always been interested in rock, pop and classical music. His creativity and will to discover other worlds of sounds are somewhat responsible of the wide array of atmospheres and rhythms one can find in his compositions. His style, affiliated with the new-age pop movement, is often inspired by traditional music. Olyam then continues his composing work, in the manner of films, meditation and relaxation music. "Orpheus, the Initiate" is it's second album, issued in 1997 on the Dreaming label. As for "Cristal Rêveur", it has been recorded five years later. Meditative but dynamic and lively, Olyam's music is full of dreams to share and to live... T.
