Set in a Hungarian mental institution in 1900, this dark and intense drama follows a dangerous affair between Jozsef Brenner (Ulrich Thomsen), a morphine-addicted physician, and Gizella Klein (Kirsti Stubo), his profoundly disturbed patient.
