NBA Showtime for Game Boy Color is a two-on-two basketball game played from a side-view perspective with a choice of over 100 authentic players on 29 NBA teams. The four modes of play include Exhibition, Season, Playoffs, and Practice. On offense, players can pass, shoot, and use turbo for a limited burst of breakaway speed. Players on defense can steal, jump to block a shot or to grab a rebound, and use turbo as well. <br><br>As in the NBA Jam series, players can catch "fire" by scoring three unanswered baskets in a row. Over 30 dunk animations spice up the action while driving toward the hoop. Adjustable options include quarter length from one to five minutes, computer difficulty from one to five, and individual toggles for sound and music. Playoff and Season progress can be resumed using passwords provided at the end of each game.
