SynopsisFourty-four familiar pieces (folk tunes and classical music) arranged for ukulele (low G). There are 42 solos and 2 duets. All music is presented in both standard notation and tablature. The level of expertise necessary to play the pieces varies widely, from easy to advanced, with most falling into the intermediate range. With the goal of providing an interesting variety, the book includes instrumental arrangements of traditional folk tunes from a variety of origins, a ragtime piece by Scott Joplin, a klezmer tune, an original blues tune, and arrangements of classical pieces by various well-loved composers. Some of the classical pieces are adaptations for ukulele of popular guitar or lute works that many classical guitar students are familiar with, including professional level repertoire. Other classical pieces in this volume were originally written for sizable ensembles or keyboard instruments and are arranged here for solo ukulele.
