The CR 4809 TE has eight times as much cache as a comparable CD-ReWriter. This does lead to advantages when drawing direct copies of CDs or when putting together audio CDs. And when PCs are fitted with older fixed disks, the 16 MB cache compensates the slower data transmission. To avoid a buffer underrun a continuous stream of data is necessary.
