Beginning with the 1928 black and white classic, Steam Boat Willie, Mickey Mania: The Timeless Adventures of Mickey Mouse lets Mickey relive some of the highlights of his storied career in films. The other movies featured in this game include The Mad Doctor (1933), Moose Hunters (1937), Lonesome Ghosts (1937), Mickey and the Beanstalk (1947) and The Prince and the Pauper (1990). Armed with marbles and a killer pounce, Mickey must brave a wide assortment of dangers and puzzles as he runs and jumps through each world.<br><br>In Steam Boat Willie, Mickey must avoid or jump on a note-eating goat, squawking chickens and his arch enemy Pete, who is accompanied by parrots. At the end of this feature, Mickey must disable some sort of conveyor contraption.<br><br>The Mad Doctor film is filled with skeletons, spiders and bats. In addition to the standard running, jumping, marble-throwing action, Mickey must ride a gurney while avoiding vats of acid and saw blades. At the end of the film, Mickey must take on the Mad Doctor himself.<br><br>The Moose Hunters level takes place in the forest. Here Mickey should watch out for an angry moose (at times animated in 3D) and be careful not to fall in the water.<br><br>The fourth feature, Lonesome Ghosts, is set in a ghost-filled haunted house. The fifth level, Mickey and the Beanstalk, borrows from the classic fable Jack and the Beanstalk. Here Mickey must face giant butterflies, dragonflies, beetles and tulips. Also, a giant named Willie is lurking amidst the premises of the castle.<br><br>The final scene is from The Prince and the Pauper, the most recent of the six films. Before facing the biggest and meanest Pegleg Pete he has ever had to face, Mickey must deal with palace guards, flaming pits, crushing walls, flying knives and spinning spears.<br><br>Throughout the game you control the current (1994) character, but six different vintage Mickey Mouse's, one from each animated short, make cameo appearances. Mickey's faithful dog and best friend Pluto is also on hand.
