S-s-s-sufferin' succotash! Tweety Bird keeps trying to avoid Sylvester's sharp claws everywhere he goes. Since you're playing as the conniving cat, you're aiming to catch the yellow bird no matter what the cost. Play involves controlling Sylvester through two distinct modes of play: side-scrolling stages and isometric stages. The 2D stages involve chasing Tweety while avoiding obstacles trying to trip you up. Once the action moves to the next level, you'll have to solve puzzles to make it through various rooms in order to continue your pursuit. Each room will also have an enemy (such as Hector or Granny) who will take one of your lives away should you make contact with him or her. Puzzles involve picking up items (Sylvester can hold a maximum of two at one time) and using them to advance to the next room. Some of these items can also be combined to form one object, such as two small cushions being combined to make one larger cushion so you can reach a high shelf. See that bone over there? Perhaps bulldog Hector will move away from the door if you toss it near him! Play continues until you finally catch Tweety or use up all of your lives. Don't worry, Sylvester's a cat, so he has nine lives to play with! The eternal quest for Tweety can be continued via passwords whenever you feel the need to take a catnap.
