Alex Chilton - Live At The Ocean Club '77 contains a previously unreleased live recording taped at a show in 1977 at The Ocean Club in New York City. This release was taken directly from the master tapes and features crystal clear sound. The setlist of this show includes many Alex Chilton classics featuring tracks spanning his career - from The Box Tops' "The Letter" to Big Star's "September Gurls" and beyond. Chilton had achieved some success at this point of his career but it wasn't until years later that his work with Big Star would be reappraised by critics and the public alike.
