Designed with an F-mount that will fit almost all Nikon SLRs (both film and digital), this 50 mm f/2.0 lens brings one "sweet spot" subject from the image into focus and surrounds it with a soft, graduated blur. The Lensbaby camera lens for Nikon allows for small changes not possible with electronically controlled autofocus lenses. Users can move the focal point around to any area of the image by simply bending the flexible mounting tube that is part of the Lensbaby. This gives the photographer a high degree of creativity and control right in the field — without a computer or software. The maximum aperture setting is f/2.0, but f/2.8, f/4.0, f/5.6, and f/8.0 are also included. The size of the aperture controls both the size of the focal point and the amount of blurring around the edges. The Lensbaby uses magnetic aperture discs that are quick and easy to change. The glass element is a coated doublet built into an anodized aluminum case.
