An edutainment title aimed at children aged between eight and 12, Learn to Play Chess With Fritz & Chesster takes young players on an adventure, while at the same time teaching them the fundamentals of chess through the use of mini-game events and character narration. With his parents, the King and Queen, away on vacation, Prince Fritz finds himself in charge of the castle and the kingdom. All is well until he is challenged to a chess duel by King Black, a duel that the young prince is ill-equipped to win. Himself a novice player, Fritz must travel the length and breadth of the kingdom in order to prepare himself for the coming match.<br><br>To acquire the knowledge necessary to defeat King Black, Fritz must engage in a collection of seven mini-game events, each designed to teach players about the various facets of chess, be it the function of the pieces themselves or basic chess strategy. Once all challenges have been completed, children can hone their skills in the Intelligym, a virtual training ground.
