Released to theaters in 1939 and on DVD in 2010, this Depression-era movie stars George Raft as Cliff Taylor, Jane Bryan as Peggy, William Holden as Tim, and Humphrey Bogart as Charles Martin. When Cliff, a convicted felon, leaves prison, he finds himself unable to obtain a stable job because of his criminal record. Tim, his younger brother, is having trouble making enough money to marry Peggy, his girlfriend. Things take a turn for the worse when Cliff turns to a fellow ex-con named Charles Martin for help. This black and white movie runs for 81 minutes.
