Reviews"This is an extremely well written book which takes a practical approach to a subject which many beginners find daunting. The case histories are particularly helpful in focusing a problem, both for the inexperienced clinician and even for a trained neurologist." - Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry, Dr. Patricia Davis of University of Iowa writes, I think it is easy to read and covers the major areas of Neurology. good example cases, logical and common sense, excellent principles for students Rapid and admittedly superficial review of this book reveals several deficiencies that make it unacceptable for the only major reference in an introductory course. eg: no mention of papilledema or optic disc edema other than swollen (p.299); similar deficiencies for visual fields (p.24); light near disassociation; Argyll Robertson Pupil; Parinaud's (dorsal midbrain) syndrome. Forgive me if I have missed your mention of these topics, but they are not readily located by either index or related chapter title. Also, pages are stilted, print on an angle due to faulty cutting/binding. -Larry Embree, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center easy to read, good diagrams, very good initial chapters on Where's the Lesion? and Neurologic Exam I like the selection of content. It deals with commonly encountered problems that primary care physicians are likely to encounter. This is an outstanding text. Excellent choice for medical students in a core clerkship in neurology. Too long, too wordy table, etc., covers too much info and too many diseases for students to read in one month
