The Man Who Knew Too Much: A British couple vacationing in Switzerland learn of an impending assassination attempt by an espionage ring. To ensure their silence, their daughter Betty is kidnapped - to be held until after the murder by a hired killer (Peter Lorre). Juno and the Paycock: During the Irish revolution, a family earns a big inheritance. They start leading a rich life forgetting what the most important values of are. At the end, they discover they will not receive that inheritance; the family is destroyed and penniless. They must sell their home and start living like vagabonds. The Lodger: A serial killer known as "The Avenger" is on the loose in London, murdering blonde women. A mysterious man arrives at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Bunting looking for a room to rent. The Bunting's daughter is a blonde model and is seeing one of the detectives assigned to the case. The detective becomes jealous of the lodger and begins to suspect he may be the avenger.
