A beautiful phone that exceeds expectations despite a few shortcomings, the HTC One S easily rises to the top of mid-range smartphones with higher price tags. The finely crafted 5.5-inch by 2.56-inch unit is far from the emerging large sized tablets and phablets like the Samsung Galaxy, but it feels sturdy and provides a nice grip, unlike bulky smartphone units. Its svelte anodized aluminum body with smoothly curved back creates a streamlined look. At 0.31 of an inch thick, the One S is breathtakingly thin, even thinner than the Apple iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and almost as thin as the Android Motorola Droid RAZR. Previously offered by T-Mobile, this unlocked phone features the brand’s logo on the glass just above the screen instead of the carrier’s logo. A 4.3 inches qHD Super AMOLED display occupies most of the front side of the unlocked HTC One S.
