The HP-16C is part of the company‘s HP Voyager Series, able to display numbers in decimal, binary, octal and hexadecimal characters, as well as convert number bases. For more complex calculations, the HP-16C‘s display can be programmed to shift it left and right, which also allows for consistency between the calculator and the user‘s computer. Beyond programming, the HP-16C performs basic arithmetic, reciprocal and square root calculations, and more. Its HP Nut processor also features continuous memory, which means it retains its memory when the calculator is turned off.
