Product Information
First Super Famicom installment in Nintendo's strategy roleplaying game series, which kicked off on the NES in 1990 with Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi and was followed by Gaiden in 1991. Likewise released only in Japan, Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo, which translates to Mystery of the Emblem, included all the missions from the original Famicom release, then continued the story with a whole new quest. Book 1 recounted the story of Marth from the first game, then picked up the story and continued his quest with the second part of the game, Book 2. Gameplay utilizes turn-based strategy, which has players move their character units on grid-based maps, both indoors and outdoors. When a character is in range of an enemy, it can attack. Combat is played out automatically, taking stats, environment, weapons, and character class into consideration.Product Identifiers
