Product Information

Poetry that is written from the heart shows one's true emotions at a certain stage or day in a poet's life. I chose these poems for my first book due to the ability that I can show my audience a deeper side of me that isn't necessary portrayed on the exterior of myself on a day to day basis. I also want to express a bit of motivational and inspirational poems I possess from my collection. I never used a strict criteria or a specific theme due to the ability of how I can cover a number of different topics even though my writing is more so on the lyrical rhyming scheme and/or freestyle.

Author BiographyH.M. Marie Gautsch started writing poetry at the age of thirteen. At the age of sixteen, she had her first poem published in the A Celebration of Young Poets collection. Marie took a break with her writing & focused on a different career in the Wisconsin National Guard in 2005. In 2006, she was mobilized and deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Marie started to pick up the pen again in 2007 to pass her time and an able to express herself during her tour of duty. She's been serving the military for nine years. March 2012, to put forth more into her writing, Marie started a blog to share her works of poetry, as well as, express herself to the world she lives in. In 2013, Marie started performing and reciting her poetry at Open Mic held at local coffee shops and hopes to soon expand her audiences' world-wide. Her blog currently reaches out to 19 countries across the world and continues to grow. This is Marie's first full book independently published.
