The William Henry Harrison dollar is a commemorative coin produced and circulated by the U.S Mint in Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. The dollar was originally produced in 2009 with dual images and lettering decorating opposite sides of the coin. The William Henry Harrison dollar was released on February 19, 2009, with proof and uncirculated versions of the coin offered individually. The front of the 2009 William Henry Harrison Presidential Dollar features the face of President William Henry Harrison. The back of the William Henry Harrison dollar offers a half-view of the Statue of Liberty from a downward angle. The inscriptions on this commemorative coin include “William Henry Harrison,” “In God We Trust,” “9th President,” and the year of his presidential term “1841” as well as “United States of America” and “$1″. The coin was issued to mark the presidency. Just under 100 million copies of the coin were initially placed into circulation.
